The Message Board branch of this website was designed for two specific reasons:one, to give you background knowledge of some of the issues in the play "A Raisin in the Sun;" two, I want you to experience being a part of an online academic community by writing responses on a message board. It's important that these responses be done in your best formal language. It's also important that your writing be clear.
The structure for the assignments will vary, but each assignment will stress picking quotes to discuss in your message board. Each assignment builds your background knowledge of "A Raisin in the Sun" and gives you practice in choosing quotes and responding to them; this is a crucial skill when writing essays. Deadlines will be set in class.
The only material or equipment you’ll need to do this work is a computer with internet access. If you don’t have one at home, we have them at school. Deadlines will be strict. So if you don’t have a computer, make sure you get to the library.
